Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at United Rentals. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs of equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including electronic documentation of work orders
  • Demonstrate equipment to customers and provide exceptional customer service
  • Assist with equipment pick-up and delivery, as well as parts management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 1-2 years of experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, or trade school graduate
  • Must own necessary tools and equipment
  • Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds frequently
