Job Summary

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Maintenance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our store, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the breakroom and all restrooms, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash, and cleaning spills.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning equipment and fixtures.
  • Assist with scheduling and cleaning of the dairy shelves and glass dairy and frozen food doors.
  • Sweep the parking lot with designated equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Shovel and salt sidewalks as needed, and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements and have a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with frequent reaching, lifting, and bending.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
