We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. As an ER Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our emergency department.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform assessments, develop plans of care, and implement and evaluate care for assigned patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to refine and achieve plans of care.
- Continually monitor patients' physical condition, emotional, and social needs.
- Perform triage assessments with rapid data collection related to medical and traumatic emergencies.
- Formulate plans of care with interdisciplinary team members, including expected outcomes for each assigned patient.
- Verify, document, and administer medication properly.
- Provide healthcare teaching to patients and families, along with appropriate documentation.
- Evaluate patients' progression towards attainment of outcomes and document the effectiveness of interventions.
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the ED - preferred
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience - required
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENCP) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
