Contaminated Site Investigation and Remediation Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Leader to join our Midwest Contaminated Assessment Remediation (CAR) Group at GHD. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a high-functioning team specializing in contaminated sites, investigation, and remediation.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. EPA regulations, State environmental regulations for various Midwestern states, and other standards/regulations affecting the regulated community. They will also have experience with preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure.

Key responsibilities will include collaboration with other leaders in the development and execution of business strategies and initiatives to expand the CAR business in the Midwest Region and beyond. You will also be responsible for building and mentoring a team that is engaged and driven to provide high-quality results and solutions to our clients' projects and challenges.

Additionally, you will maintain a high external profile through membership/attendance in industry organizations and continually growing a contact base. You will also lead proposal development and contract negotiation to win targeted pursuits, which leverage GHD's capabilities and value proposition.

Technical project management and direction will be a key aspect of this role, ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects and a deep understanding of industry standards.

Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's and/or Advanced degree in Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science) and a minimum of 15 years of experience in contaminated site investigation and remediation. Professional Designation/License (Engineer, Geologist, etc) is a plus, as is OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification.
