Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist II to join our team at Randolph County Public Health. The successful candidate will provide professional nutrition services to clients with complex nutrition needs, focusing on the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in Randolph County.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nutrition services to WIC clients, including assessment, counseling, and education.
  • Develop and implement nutrition education programs for WIC clients and the community.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote healthy eating habits and nutrition education.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized plans for clients with complex nutrition needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and best practices to inform program development and implementation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR).
  • At least two years of experience in nutrition counseling, education, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop effective solutions.
