Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Salem Health Orthopedics. The successful candidate will provide medical care as stated in their Collaboration Agreement, working in concert with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care for patients. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree or higher in Nursing, or in a field deemed to be equivalent by the Oregon Board of Nursing, and hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical and surgical services within their scope of practice, based on their education, training, experience, and competence.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree or higher in Nursing, or in a field deemed to be equivalent by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon.
  • Valid, unencumbered NP national certification issued by a nationally accrediting body.
  • DEA certification.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • One (1) year of experience as a surgical Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in orthopedic surgery practice preferred.
