About the Role

CentraState Healthcare System is seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team. As a key member of our pathology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our cytology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen and report cytology specimens in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain high levels of proficiency and current knowledge through continuing education and professional affiliations
  • Perform routine maintenance on microscopes and report any irregularities
  • Provide technical consultation and support to cytoprocessing technicians
  • Support corporate policies and objectives, including quality assurance, safety, and environmental protocols
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Science degree required
  • One year cytology technical training or two years college with 12 semester hours in science, 8 of which are biology, plus one year cytology technical training
  • Medical Technologist experience required
  • ASCP registration required
