Position Overview

OSF HealthCare is excited to offer multiple sign-on bonus options for qualified candidates:

- $5,000 for a one-year work commitment

Our outpatient multidisciplinary team is dedicated to evaluating and treating a diverse range of patient populations and diagnoses within the metropolitan area. Our skilled clinicians specialize in various fields including orthopedics, neurology, vestibular therapy, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and lymphedema management.

Our outpatient team comprises 12 Physical Therapists, 2 Occupational Therapists, 2 Speech-Language Pathologists, and 2 rehabilitation technicians across three clinic locations. The primary site is affiliated with a 274-bed hospital, with additional facilities providing comprehensive physical therapy services.

We pride ourselves on a collaborative and dynamic team environment focused on maximizing functional outcomes and assisting patients in achieving their personal health goals through individualized, evidence-based care.

OSF Rehabilitation fosters a supportive atmosphere for professional growth, offering paid continuing education units, tuition reimbursement for further studies, and a 401k plan with a dollar-for-dollar match on the first 5% of salary. Additionally, OSF Healthcare is eligible for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness program.

We are committed to investing in our employees from day one. Candidates with over five years of direct experience will be entitled to 24 hours of vacation and holiday time available for use from the start of employment, alongside our generous time-off benefits.

Expected compensation for this role is $50.50 per hour, with actual pay determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist plays a crucial role in aiding patients to restore physical function through thorough evaluation and tailored treatment plans.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
Licenses/Certifications:
  • State license in Physical Therapy or eligibility to test for licensure within 60 days, with successful completion required within one year of hire.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid state driver's license, verified through the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
Other Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for providing patient care tailored to the served population.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with patients, families, and treatment team members.
  • Analytical skills to assess patients' physical and functional status, establish therapy goals, and formulate treatment plans.
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to manage detailed information accurately.
