Front Desk Specialist

What You'll Do
The Guest Service Agent is responsible for the smooth registration and check-out process, managing PBX operations, mail, and message services at the Front Desk. The role requires providing exceptional service to guests, acting as an advocate for the hotel, creating personal experiences, and developing relationships that encourage repeat visits.
Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing arrivals, noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed
- Checking in and out hotel guests confidently, professionally, and friendly
- Answering phone calls promptly, ensuring complete and accurate information
- Completing tasks on designated checklists by the end of each shift
- Conducting pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPS, repeat guests, packages, and special requests
- FOLLOWING ESTABLISHED KEY CONTROL POLICY
- Ensuring proper credit policies are followed
- Submitting lost and found articles with a completed report
- Opening, securing, and balancing daily shift bank, verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions
- Verifying credit limit reports
- Monitoring room availability throughout the day
- Reviewing daily selling status using yield management systems
- Attending monthly department meetings
- Communicating with other departments: Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet
What We're Looking For
We seek candidates with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1 year of previous experience in a Front Desk role at a full-service hotel, knowledge of the area, services, attractions, and events, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, overnight, and holidays, and ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
