Job Overview

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an experienced Assistant Meat/Seafood Manager to join our team. As a key member of the store leadership, you will be responsible for managing the meat and seafood department, leading a team of associates, and delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Role

This is a salaried position with an estimated annual salary range of $65,000 - $85,000, based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in a meat department, as well as strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the meat and seafood department, including ordering and inventory control, product quality, and supervision of associates.
  • Lead a team of associates, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating daily operations.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in a meat department, with a focus on leadership and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 90 pounds, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
