Job Overview

At ARM, we are seeking a highly skilled SoC Verification Engineer to contribute to the design and verification of various compute subsystems. As a key member of our Systems Development team, you will work closely with project teams to understand and review subsystem architecture and design specifications, and develop a functional verification strategy.

This role requires a strong understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL, as well as experience with current verification strategies for sophisticated SoC development. You will be responsible for crafting test plans, developing SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches and tests, and debugging test failures and issues.

Responsibilities

As a SoC Verification Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing verification methodologies to ensure functional correctness of compute subsystems
  • Collaborating with project teams to understand and review subsystem architecture and design specifications
  • Crafting test plans and developing SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches and tests
  • Debugging test failures and issues
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of verification methodologies used by the team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL
  • Experience with current verification strategies for sophisticated SoC development
  • Good knowledge of test plan creation and tracking
  • Low-level programming experience including C and Assembler
  • Experience with Perl, Python or other scripting language
Preferred Skills

We are also looking for candidates with experience in:

  • Arm-based designs and/or ARM System Architectures
  • SystemVerilog and verification methodologies – UVM/OVM/e
  • Object-Oriented programming concepts
  • Formal verification techniques
  • Clock domain crossing verification
  • Power aware verification
  • Porting peripheral driver software
  • Development and deployment of complex Arm SoCs on multiple Emulation platforms
