Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our finance team at Platinum Maintenance Se. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, expense management, audit support, and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  1. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, record and classify financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  2. Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, verifying accuracy and approvals, prepare and process payments to vendors, reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  3. Accounts Receivable: Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner, monitor accounts receivable for timely payments, investigate and resolve any discrepancies with customer accounts.
  4. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial records, identify and resolve discrepancies or issues.
  5. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, generate and analyze financial reports for management review, contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  6. Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensure compliance with company policies and reconcile expense accounts.
  7. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audit processes, provide documentation and support for audit inquiries.
  8. Compliance: Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
  • Adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per annum
