Project Manager

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and technical staff to successfully deliver single family development projects.
  • Coordinate project tasks, budgets and schedules to meet client timelines.
  • Participate in the development of company design and production standards to continue excellence within our technical expertise.
  • Be open to new ways of accomplishing goals and seek guidance from other leaders.
  • Apply diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.
  • Makes decisions independently on problems and methods.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of a major project.
  • Select procedures and check complete reports and calculations.
  • Develop understanding and follow WGA's QA/QC procedures and understand basic business practice and laws related to the area of practice.
  • Build and maintain relationships between project teams and collaborate to ensure that technical, quality, cost and client requirements are implemented.
  • Coordinate with outside sub-consultants.
  • Prepare a range of reports to communicate project information to team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent WGA in client and industry-related conferences, organizations, and meetings.
  • Develop trusting professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates and requires an understanding of multi-disciplinary team coordination.
  • Lead and mentor junior members of WGA to provide best-in-class service.
Qualifications
  • ±5 years of experience.
  • BS degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Texas.
  • Civil design with a minimum of 2 years' experience managing a team and clients for the completion of single family, residential projects from conception to completion including estimating costs of technical tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of design and construction practices which, by passing on that knowledge to others will aid in your success.
  • Proven experience and willingness to identify new opportunities with existing clients as well as having the confidence and ability to develop new client partnerships.
  • Proven ability to effectively and respectfully communicate, both oral and written skills, with all levels of employees.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.
