Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Creative Development Facilitator will collaborate with the Art Works Supervisor to deliver individualized planning and a secure atmosphere for artists. This role involves guiding and encouraging the creation of art through diverse mediums, adhering to the Art Works methodology, and aiding adults with disabilities in honing vocational skills while producing marketable artwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage directly with artists to inspire and foster creativity, innovation, and independent problem-solving, enabling them to achieve their fullest potential in the art field.
  2. Encourage progress through positive reinforcement, exemplifying constructive employee behaviors and providing helpful feedback. Empower artists to attain independence and self-sufficiency.
  3. Keep precise and current progress documentation.
  4. Instruct artists on the proper maintenance and utilization of tools and materials.
  5. Assist in the display and showcasing of completed artworks.
  6. Participate in art exhibitions and events to promote the artists' creations.
  7. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  8. Support monitoring of program standards in alignment with relevant compliance standards and organizational policies.
  9. Assist customers in the retail environment, welcoming them, facilitating sales, and managing financial transactions.
  10. Engage in artists' individualized planning discussions.
  11. Perform additional tasks as required.

  9. Assist in coordinating staffing with individuals and relevant support groups.
  10. Promote and exemplify teamwork and collaboration.
  11. Attend regular meetings and specialized training sessions.
  12. Ensure compliance with documentation standards.
  13. Adapt work hours to accommodate meetings and schedules across various locations.
  14. Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Experience in visual arts with the ability to provide artistic guidance across various media.

Skills and Competencies:

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial. A diverse employment background is preferred. The candidate must:

  • Obtain certification in First Aid/CPR/AED within the first month of employment.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule.
  • Possess a satisfactory driving record (for all positions).
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be capable of traveling between locations.
  • Have or be able to acquire a valid chauffeur's license (specific to certain roles).
  • Own a mobile phone.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Must be capable of bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds, and able to perform various job site tasks, including demonstrating work for training purposes.
