This includes managing the HVAC, mechanical, and electrical personnel, as well as overseeing repairs and troubleshooting of heating, cooling, and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment
  • Oversee the HVAC, mechanical, and electrical personnel
  • Assist with the hiring, development, supervision, and evaluation of maintenance and mechanical support staff
  • Assist with the development and implementation of unit goals
  • Serve on college committees as assigned by the Executive Director of Campus Safety and Operations
  • Assist in budget preparation for the plant operations department
  • Recommend purchase of supplies and equipment for the department and maintain current inventory of these items
  • Be on call via cell phone and respond at all times to plant operations emergencies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • EPA HVAC Certification
  • Seven years' employment experience in a related field, including formal training in HVAC maintenance
  • Two years' experience in a supervisory role required
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, as well as establish a positive working relationship with the college community
