Fountain Service Technician Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fountain Service Technician to join our team at The Lake Doctors, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and building floating fountains and pond aeration equipment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of fountain brands, as well as assist in the assembly and installation of new units.
  • Maintain communication with customers, vendors, and referral sources to grow our business.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret operating procedures and safety rules.
  • Possess good time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated individual who works well on their own and as part of a team.
  • Strong physical strength and agility to safely operate equipment in outdoor environments.

Education and Experience:

  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge: 1 year (preferred).
  • High school or equivalent (required). Some college helpful but not essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely winch, launch a boat on uneven terrain, and lift or move fountains ranging from 50 to 100lbs.
  • Ability to pull electrical wire/power cables, dig trenches, bury conduit/power cables, and lift, move, and install weighted tubing used for aeration installations.

Restrictions:

  • A valid, clean South Carolina Driver's License for the operation of various motor vehicles and equipment.
  • Full Time only.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
