Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Green Coffee Handler to join our Roasting Department team at Stumptown Coffee Corp. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing unroasted green coffee according to our daily schedule, facilitating the movement of coffee in our facility, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Workflow: Coordinate with our Demand Planner to support the day's workflow, update work orders in Netsuite as needed, and monitor green inventory to ensure we are prepared for recipe transitions.
  • Coffee Roasting Preparation: Stage green coffee in anticipation of daily roasting needs, utilizing various green handling equipment.
  • Green Coffee Loading: Assist in loading green coffee onto the bulk bag dispenser and bag break station, using required equipment such as the walkie stacker forklift and chain vey system.
  • Receiving Green Coffee: Receive coffee deliveries daily, checking shipments for accuracy using required equipment like the electric pallet truck and 135 receiving dock extender.
  • Maintaining Inventory: Assist in maintaining accurate green coffee inventory, including maintaining proficiency in recipe components, coordinating with other departments, and conducting routine inventory counts.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and maneuver 150 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Prior experience with Netsuite, Cropster, and Google Suite is a plus.
  • Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness, and flexibility in prior roles.
  • Prior forklift, electric pallet-jack, and reach stacker experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience with current GMPs is a plus.
  • Driver's license and clean driving record are preferred.
Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
  • The work environment can be noisy and dusty.
  • Temperatures can be variable in the work area.
