About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of Perioperative Care Professional at Lifespan Corporation. This role involves providing professional nursing care to pre-operative patients, working under the general supervision of a Clinical Manager. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of clinical nursing, including sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and special precautions. They must also be able to react to life-threatening situations effectively.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with patients, physicians, and other hospital personnel. They must also demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span, considering aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns. A graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing professional nursing care to peri-operative patients
  • Participating in planning and implementation of nursing care plans
  • Assisting during surgical procedures by preparing and/or directing others in preparation of instruments, equipment, and supplies; scrubbing or circulating on cases;

Requirements:
- Up to one year combined previous related and on-the-job experience in a perioperative setting
- Graduation from accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island
