Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our clinical team as a Clinical Nurse - Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you'll provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering compassionate and empathetic care to our patients, enhancing their experience, and promoting a positive environment within our clinic.
Responsibilities
* Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including diagnostic procedures and treatments
* Perform basic life support in emergency situations
* Demonstrate maturity, self-confidence, and dependability in your work
* Support healthcare providers' needs, acting in an organized and adaptable manner
* Provide personalized care and assistance to patients, adhering to our Mission, Vision, and Philosophy
* Room patients, obtaining and/or verifying medical history, medication information, and vital signs
* Administer medications as directed, following nursing standards
* Document pertinent information in a legible manner, in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards
* Communicate with patients using excellent verbal and writing skills, informing them of lab or other test results, prescriptions, and other relevant information
* Perform lab tests according to clinic and regulatory standards
* Adhere to infection control procedures, using personal protective equipment, disposing of waste, and practicing aseptic techniques
* Exercise sound medical judgment and excellent customer service at all times
* Clean and stock exam rooms, maintaining adequate supplies
* Assume responsibility, assisting in anticipating, identifying, and solving problems
* Maintain and improve skills by attending continuing education sessions
* Collaborate with clerical and clinical staff to provide excellent patient care and customer service
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess a current New Mexico RN license, excellent patient care skills, good communication skills, problem-solving abilities, knowledge of computer keyboard operation, and BLS certification (within six months of employment). Previous physician clinic experience is preferred but not required.
