About This Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Relief Driver to join our team at Transforce. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for providing vacation/injury relief for our delivery personnel, ensuring that our products are delivered to customer locations on designated routes.

Responsibilities
  • Exercise safe practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Service all scheduled customers by the end of each shift, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Work effectively in adverse weather conditions, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as business dictates.
  • Collect money from customers, make change, record transactions on customer receipts, and reconcile and deposit all monies collected at the end of each day.
  • Deliver, fill, merchandise, and rotate products at customer accounts, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Foster positive relationships with store management and personnel, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Qualifications
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is essential.
  • Ability to obtain a CDL permit within the first 30 days and have a CDL Class A within the first 90 days.
  • Pass and maintain D.O.T. physical requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain an ABC Permit to sell alcohol (18 years old and up).
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis.
  • Past job performance must reflect dependability, initiative, professional demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Availability to work some weekends and/or some holidays.
  • Lifting and loading from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly over a 10-12 hour work period.
  • Pushing and pulling over 800 pounds, bending, reaching, and squatting while delivering and moving products.
  • Capable of working in beverage cooler conditions (35-45 degrees).
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising products, or retail management experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for your state of residency and an excellent driving history for the last three years (Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed).
  • Preferred: Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
