Salem Media Group is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic broadcasting professional to join our team. This role is essential in delivering engaging and relevant radio content in a major market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Host a daily two-hour afternoon program.
  • Prepare for the show each day, which includes researching and developing storylines, topics, and guest appearances.
  • Collaborate with co-hosts, producers, and the program director to curate daily show content.
  • Contribute innovative programming ideas to enhance the show.
  • Engage in station promotions and events, interacting with clients and potential clients.
  • Utilize digital and social media platforms to broaden the station's and show's audience reach.
  • Occasional travel for promotional purposes.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in broadcasting or podcasting, particularly in the Christian Teaching and Talk (CTT) sector.
  • Familiarity with biblical knowledge, evangelical culture, current events, and local news.
  • Ability to connect with the target demographic of adults aged 35-64 through engaging and relevant content.
  • Strong editorial skills to identify and develop segment ideas.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in work approach.
  • Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
