Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care and customer service to residents in your unit.
- Assist nursing leadership in planning and managing facility operations to ensure quality care around the clock.
- Evaluate residents' health conditions to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of residents' progress in Point Click Care (PCC) to ensure adherence to care plans.
- Ensure compliance with facility medical records, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular rounds on residents, both independently and with physicians, to monitor symptoms and treatment responses.
- Provide comprehensive care addressing both physiological and psychosocial needs of residents.
- Administer various treatments, including wound care, IV therapy, and tube feedings.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role includes general supervision of CNAs/STNAs, encompassing retraining, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse is required.
- CPR certification is mandatory.
- One year of nursing experience in a long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with state nursing regulations is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of federal and state laws governing nursing practices in long-term care.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical nursing situations.
- Basic computer proficiency is essential.
