Position Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist at Cox Barton County Hospital will engage in a diverse range of clinical practices, offering competitive pay and a nurturing work atmosphere. This role is pivotal in enhancing patient care outcomes while fostering strong community ties in a rural healthcare setting.

As a speech-language pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in patients. You will design and implement therapeutic strategies for issues such as stuttering, language delays, and swallowing difficulties, guided by your assessments and recommendations from healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
  • Education
    • Required: Graduate degree in Speech Pathology
    • Preferred: Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited Speech Pathology institution
  • Experience
    • Preferred: At least one year of relevant experience
  • Skills
    • Strong clinical expertise, effective communication, and interpersonal skills are essential
    • Self-driven individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision
    • Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education
    • Excellent communication abilities and a positive demeanor are required
  • Licensure/Certification
    • Required: Valid Missouri Speech Therapy License
    • Must acquire BLS certification within 90 days of employment
    • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for certification
