Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Actuarial Practice as Interns. As an Actuarial Intern, you will work alongside industry leaders and contribute to a broad range of client projects. You will gain exposure to top-tier insurance companies, provider health systems, state regulators, and private equity firms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support health insurance product development, modeling, and analysis
  • Contribute to care management design and operational efficiency optimization
  • Assist with pricing assumption analysis, trend analysis, and model methodology reviews
  • Perform medical and pharmacy claims analysis, including benchmarking to applicable industry experience
  • Provide financial reporting and valuation support
  • Conduct market simulation analyses of proposed federal and state legislation
  • Support mergers & acquisitions due diligence, including assumption review, model build, and valuation
  • Participate in feasibility studies for startup operations or expansions of new products
  • Support regulatory changes and implementation
  • Analyze value-based care and other risk-taking arrangements
Requirements
  • Working towards Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
  • Commitment to passing actuarial exams
  • Track record of rapid learning, high performance, and professional growth
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of the value of collaboration and ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Deep critical-thinking skills and problem-solving ability
  • Highly motivated individual and willingness to work in a dynamic environment
  • Exposure to MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA, or other programming languages
