We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Adolescent Outpatient Addiction Services Clinician to join our team at Johnson County Government. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, treatment plan development, and individual, group, and family therapy services to adolescents struggling with addiction.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments to identify individual needs and diagnoses substance use and/or mental health disorders, assess risk for suicide and other safety concerns, and determine the need for medication evaluation and referral.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Develop complex treatment plans to address the clinical needs of individuals, network with other community agencies to research and coordinate resources and services, and encourage the establishment and maintenance of support systems.
- Provide Psychotherapy and Clinical Services: Provide psychotherapy and other clinical and therapeutic services for a designated caseload of individuals, groups, and families with complex, intensive, or ongoing needs, ensuring services provided are consistent with individual plans.
- Document Services Provided: Complete and submit clinical documentation regarding services provided, evaluate and document individuals' progress according to measurable goals, and review and approve documentation and plans of care developed by other staff.
- Complete Drug and Alcohol Evaluations: Conduct drug and alcohol evaluations to determine the appropriate level of SUD treatment for youth.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Related Field: A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required, along with Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure at the master's level in the area of focus.
- Preferred Qualifications: A Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at the clinical level and one year of experience in the area of focus are preferred.
All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.
