Sentara Medical Group is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our Orthopedic - Hand Surgery division. We are looking for a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider who prioritizes high-quality healthcare, compassionate patient interactions, and exceptional patient experiences.
This position is part of a collaborative Orthopedic team that includes specialists in total joint, sports medicine, upper extremity, hand surgery, spine surgery, and non-operative sports and spine care, along with a team of six Physician Assistants.
Key Features of the Position:
- Modern office facilities located on the hospital premises
- Manage new patient consultations, follow-up appointments, and post-operative care
- Established referral network
- Focus on Hand Surgery
- On-call responsibilities from home; 1:6 ratio (phone only)
- Weekly schedule includes 2-3 days in the operating room and 2-3 days in the clinic (8 AM - 5 PM)
- Access to digital x-ray and PACS; MRI available on-site
- Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services offered
