Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Englewood Health and Rehabilitation. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and support to residents, including bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, and dressing needs.
  • Assist residents with feeding, providing snacks, and transferring them to and from dining areas as needed.
  • Check catheters frequently and provide catheter care as assigned by the nurse.
  • Assist residents with turning, positioning, exercising, transferring, and ambulation as needed.
  • Respond to resident call lights and requests for assistance in a timely manner.
  • Maintain resident rooms by making beds, changing bed linens, and organizing personal belongings.
  • Observe and report any changes in resident appetite, skin condition, or behaviors.
  • Offer emotional support and actively listen to residents to help them develop trust and achieve independence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect resident rights and privacy.
  • Document resident incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations according to facility policy.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • State certification as a C.N.A. in good standing.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of programs such as Excel and Word.
  • Understanding of safe and effective nursing practices within the state of employment.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, function independently, and make independent decisions.
  • Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, and personnel.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Requires judgment in prioritizing tasks, duties, and responsibilities.
  • Ability to be discrete and protect confidential information.
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, and a willingness to handle residents with varying maturity and physical levels.
