Cyber Defense Analyst

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defense Analyst to join our team in Amarillo, TX.

We are a federal contractor dedicated to partnering with clients to advance clean energy and deliver effective solutions for complex challenges in the nuclear and environmental fields.

As a Cyber Defense Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our networks and systems from cyber threats. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze data collected from various cyber defense tools to identify and mitigate potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Characterize and analyze network traffic to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to network resources
  • Document and escalate incidents that may cause ongoing and immediate impact to the environment
  • Perform event correlation using information gathered from various sources within the enterprise to gain situational awareness and determine the effectiveness of an observed attack
Requirements:
  • Education - Technical field experience weighted greater than minimum education
  • Clearance - desired Q, required L
  • US citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements
