Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and managing engineering resources, technical documentation, and testing qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement objectives for assigned areas, ensuring alignment with overall company strategies and objectives.
- Participate in key engineering design reviews, enforcing conformance with defined requirements and ensuring corrective actions are completed as required.
- Assess and evaluate mechanical and electrical systems for efficiency, identifying opportunities for optimization and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement system optimization strategies for applicable unit process areas.
- Collaborate with the digital engineering team to develop and implement digital solutions for facility operations.
- Work with the Operations Technology Group to assist with add-ons during the Hubgrade to Scale initiative.
- Evaluate power monitoring and advances in technology, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Participate with Sales and Marketing to establish innovative activities in area of responsibility, supporting sales and marketing with technical strategy and experience.
- Define technology, equipment, instrumentation, and systems needs in assigned areas, ensuring staff has adequate resources to meet department and individual objectives.
Work Environment:
This role requires working in both operations and office environments, with a significant amount of time spent in operations environments. Travel is required as needed. The successful candidate must be able to work in outside and inside environments with noise and varying temperatures and climatic conditions, and must be able to work under adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.
