Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse Non-Acute plays a crucial role in delivering care to a designated patient demographic, aiming for optimal health outcomes. This role emphasizes the enhancement of knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of a multidisciplinary team for a diverse range of complex patients.
This position is responsible for guiding and supervising the care delivered by other healthcare providers through effective delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination of care. The nurse will adeptly manage patient care and unit activities in collaboration with nursing colleagues, physicians, and support services.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in progress or a commitment to obtain within three years of employment.
- A strong ability to adapt to evolving patient needs, a deep sense of responsibility for enhancing the lives of patients and their families, a commitment to teamwork, and a passion for continuous education are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Certification in the relevant specialty is preferred when eligible.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required within 60 days of employment.
