Job Overview

Sims Bros Logistics is seeking a skilled Warehouse & Logistics Manual Labor Associate to join our team. This role involves driving box trucks and performing manual labor tasks, including heavy lifting and palletizing. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, experience driving box trucks, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a box truck to retailers across Tennessee and Kentucky to pick up components for transportation back to the warehouse.
  • Safely load and unload materials onto the truck, ensuring proper securing for transportation.
  • Transport materials back to the warehouse in a timely manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including but not limited to organizing inventory, operating a forklift, and conducting inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics team members to ensure efficient and accurate handling of materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck and warehouse space.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the box truck to ensure it remains in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks consistently.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
