As a HVAC Controls System Technician, you'll perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. You'll troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems, and respond to basic warranty calls.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Loading system-level controller software
  • Performing basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices
  • Keeping management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues
  • Calibrating systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
  • Completing administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
  • Documenting changes and providing information for as-built documentation
  • Communicating with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
  • FOLLOWING ALL SAFETY STANDARDS AND ATTENDING REQUIRED SAFETY TRAINING

We're looking for a candidate with basic computer skills, demonstrated technical aptitude, and the ability to use hand and power tools. Attention to detail, good communication and listening skills, and basic knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems are also essential.

Preferred qualifications include low voltage/120-volt wiring skills, HVAC experience, and experience working with Microsoft Excel and Visio. Depending on location, the mounting and termination of low voltage devices may have special licensing requirements.
