Busser - Amaya

Key Responsibilities:

Set and reset tables with clean dishes, silverware, and polished glassware before, during, and after service periods.

Pour waters, condiments, and side items as needed.

Maintain full menu knowledge and preparation methods at all times.

Deliver food to guest tables in a professional manner.

Identify and describe each plate to guests accurately.

Follow the Food and Beverage sequence of service, utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs.

Work effectively with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address guest needs and issues.

Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly.

Bid farewell to guests, using their name when known, and encourage them to return.

Assist servers with service steps as needed.

Maintain general cleanliness in the dining room during service periods.

Stack and stock side stations with dry goods, extra china, settings, and silverware.

Buff and polish glass and silverware as needed.

Set up and break down side stations before and after service.

Load and unload linens as necessary.

Clean spills and use floor signs on an emergency basis only.

Follow all company procedures and health and safety guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

2 years of experience as a busser in a similar, high-volume restaurant environment.

Good communication skills; multilingual is a plus.

Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Professionally groomed in accordance with department standards.

Positive attitude, self-motivated, energetic, and a willing learner.

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to follow directions, make quick decisions, and stay organized under pressure.

Ability to perform various duties with care, concern, and detail.

Familiarity with standard kitchen equipment, including refrigerators, coolers, slicers, sharp knives, beverage machines, etc.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Physically able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds on a tray or arm service, as well as delicate china and glassware.

Physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period.
