Position Overview:
We are seeking a Staffing Coordinator who will play a vital role in ensuring our healthcare team is effectively scheduled and supported. This position is essential for maintaining the high standards of care our residents deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage the scheduling of healthcare personnel, including nurses and support staff, to guarantee adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Assess staffing requirements based on patient needs and adjust schedules as necessary to meet those demands.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding scheduling changes and staffing needs.
- Collaborate with staffing agencies to fill vacancies and maintain optimal staffing levels during busy periods.
- Ensure all staff credentials and certifications are verified and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Track employee attendance and manage time-off requests while maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in budget management by monitoring labor costs and staffing expenditures.
- Coordinate training sessions and orientations to ensure staff are compliant with quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records and scheduling databases using electronic management systems.
- Proactively address staffing conflicts and scheduling issues in collaboration with management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in healthcare staffing or scheduling preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and management.
- Proficient in scheduling software and computer applications.
- Knowledge of healthcare staffing regulations and labor laws.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing staffing requirements.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards.
- Preferred: Enrollment in a State-approved Certified Nurse's Aide training program or active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
