About the Role:

Fiber Network Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fiber Network Specialist to join our team. As a Fiber Network Specialist, you will be responsible for locating and repairing fiber impairments in the field, working primarily independently while examining existing fiber plant and connecting new builds for residential and enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Locate and repair fiber impairments in the field
• Examine existing fiber plant and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers
• Work primarily independently while maintaining a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration
• Ensure our fiber networks are working optimally with the support of your team and other peer organizations

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, and BCT/E)
• Maintenance tech or equivalent work experience of at least 1 year
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of traditional fiber architectures, fiber optic systems, testing and splicing equipment, and Coarse and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM/DWDM)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree in electronics or a related field
• Basic computer knowledge for occasional work in the office
