Exciting Career Opportunity for New RNs

About the Program:

The Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive training program designed for new graduate registered nurses. The program features a combination of didactic and clinical training, allowing new nurses to transition from the classroom to the acute care setting.

Program Structure:

  • Part 1: Training - 10-12 weeks
    • Didactic training: introduces core curriculum and hospital initiatives
    • Simulation training: reinforces nursing skills learned in the didactic setting
    • Hands-on training: application of clinical skill set in assigned department
  • Part 2: Clinical Preceptorship - 9 months
    • The new Nurse is paired with a trained preceptor
    • Monthly resident seminars focused on nursing issues key to quality outcomes
    • Routine check-ins with formal day reviews by Nursing leadership
    • Completion of evidence-based capstone project and presentation
