Job Summary

The Wellness Associate at The Mansions at Alpharetta provides exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can work effectively as part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of each resident's physical and mental health, reporting any changes to the Wellness Director.
  • Manage medical supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
  • Support shift coverage and assist with finding coverage when unexpected call-outs occur.
  • Develop and maintain assignments for the Wellness Director.
  • Orient and onboard new Wellness Associates.
  • Respond to resident emergencies, provide first aid, and arrange for medical follow-up.
  • Assist residents with maintaining their units clean, neat, and orderly.
  • Answer calls for assistance and attend to resident needs promptly.
  • Assist residents with clothing and laundry needs as instructed.
  • Support residents with meal selection, service, and feeding as assigned.
  • Participate in activity programs as assigned.
  • Maintain records according to policy.
  • Participate in a minimum of 6 hours of in-service education per year.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Follow all emergency procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the Wellness Director and other staff.
  • Immediately report any changes in physical and mental health to the Wellness Director and/or Wellness Manager.
Requirements:
  • Current State Nurse's Aide registration preferred but not required.
  • Experience and passion in working with seniors.
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Able to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
  • In good physical and emotional health, free of communicable diseases.
Physical Requirements:
  • Physically able to bend and reach.
  • Physically able to push and pull and lift up to 60 pounds at times.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods.
  • May be required to use a Hoyer Lift.
Miscellaneous:
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
  • May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired.
  • May be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day).
  • Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C viruses.
  • May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents due to mental status.
  • Background, criminal, and drug tests may be required.
  • May be asked to submit to random drug tests during employment.
  • May have their picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising.
  • May be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents' apartments.
