Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at The University of Texas at Arlington. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, operating, and maintaining a high throughput Linux based grid computing facility on behalf of the ATLAS experiment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specify and purchase computing, storage, and network equipment used in the cluster.
  • Install and configure software to create a unified computing cluster, interface cluster via grid middleware with the ATLAS computing infrastructure.
  • Maintain the installed hardware and diagnose problems for repair.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Knowledge in Linux Systems Administration.
  • Batch system operations (SLURM, HTCondor).
  • Understanding of high throughput networking.
  • Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
