We are seeking an experienced Field Trainer to join our growing Plumbing and HVAC Academy. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for shaping the next generation of technicians and driving operational excellence across our branches.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000–$95,000 per year, with opportunities for lucrative bonuses and professional growth.
Job Description
In this role, you will oversee the training and development of apprentices to ensure technical proficiency, customer service excellence, and field readiness. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and operating the regional academy program to produce field-ready technicians.
- Designing and maintaining training labs and syllabi, ensuring materials stay up-to-date.
- Providing in-person and virtual training sessions, combining technical knowledge with customer service training.
- Overseeing apprenticeship programs from recruitment to graduation, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Conducting ride-alongs, hands-on training, and 1:1 coaching sessions to support academy participants.
- Tracking and reporting academy performance metrics to improve outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coach a technical workforce.
- High-level technical knowledge in HVAC or plumbing.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to train others to excel in customer interactions.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
