Étreux, Hauts-de-France, United States Draper Labs Full time

Draper Labs is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer with expertise in digital hardware to join our team of innovative engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic design, microprocessor or embedded computing, and experience integrating and debugging embedded systems.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $170,000 per year, depending on experience. This position is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and requires the ability to be in Draper facilities as needed.

As a Senior Digital Electronics Design Engineer, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams designing, developing, and verifying high reliability digital electronics for use in various applications. Your responsibilities will include translating project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures, designing and/or completing instruments including microprocessors, power, and analog components, and innovatively solving issues while driving completion of the project to schedule.

You will also engage other engineers and partners to develop reliable, cost-effective solutions for products, drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction, and contribute to requirements development, propose ways forward, and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements. Additionally, you will independently perform complex electronic architectures and designs, provide insight and suggest design modifications based on simulation results, identify program/system-level technical risks, and develop and execute mitigation strategies.

To be successful in this role, you must have proficiency in electronic design, microprocessor or embedded computing, understanding of design and general computer architecture, ability to write detailed design specifications, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, and a Master's Degree is preferred. Five to seven years of experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or a related field is also required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in schematic capture and board layout, integrating and debugging embedded systems, and performing circuit simulation using HyperLynx and ANSYS. Experience in Mentor Graphics PCB design flow and Xilinx or Microchip FPGA/SOC design flow is also desirable.

We are committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer. We understand the value of diversity and its impact on a high-performance culture. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or genetic information.

We support many programs to improve work-life balance, including workplace flexibility, employee clubs, health and finance workshops, off-site social events, and discounts to local museums and cultural activities. If you don't find the right posting in our Career Opportunities, you may submit your resume for future consideration.
