Certified Surgical Technologist Job Description

Job Summary:

Texas Health Denton is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a CST, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing peri-operative care for patients of all ages, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Preoperatively assist RN circulator in formulating a plan of care.
  • Post-operatively follow proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment, minimizing the risk of infection and accidental contamination.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide age-specific care and promote a positive patient experience.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
  • Current CST certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 1 year of current operating room experience preferred.
