About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Virtual Networking portfolio in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction and roadmap for our services, ensuring they meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Strategy and Roadmap: Partner with product management to define the service strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Leadership and Representation: Represent the organization at the VP level, influencing decision-making and driving business outcomes.
  • Operational Excellence: Use your expertise to operate large-scale software fleets, ensuring services meet OCI's scale and performance requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team, delivering complex projects on time and driving innovation.
  • Influencing and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, influencing product and customer requirements, and integrating solutions to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 6+ years of managing large-scale organizations, preferably with multiple layers of management.
  • Technical Expertise: 10+ years of designing, delivering, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production environments.
  • Mentorship and Growth: Demonstrable success in mentoring and growing engineers and people managers to senior levels.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of networking, distributed systems, and high-performance computing fundamentals.
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: Strong communication and analytical skills, with a thorough understanding of product development.
