Dartmouth Health, a leading healthcare organization in the Northeast, is seeking an experienced palliative care physician to join our interdisciplinary team at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Salary Range
$250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses. As a palliative care physician, you will provide inpatient consultations to help patients manage their symptoms, clarify their goals of care, and plan for transition to end-of-life care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive palliative care assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide inpatient consults to patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses.
- Collaborate with a skilled team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, chaplains, and social workers.
- Participate in academic activities, including teaching and research at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in palliative medicine through the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a New Hampshire medical license and federal DEA license.
