We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team at Soliant. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting the holistic development and well-being of our students, with a focus on academic success, social-emotional learning, and mental health support.
Key Responsibilities- Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Collaborative Planning: Work with educators, families, and community partners to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support students with diverse needs.
- Counseling and Intervention: Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic interventions to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
- Professional Development: Serve as a resource to school staff on topics related to behavior management, social-emotional learning, and mental health promotion.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to develop intervention strategies and support plans.
- School-Wide Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives aimed at creating a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data.
- Education: Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Certification: Valid certification/license as a School Psychologist (PSY) in the state of Maryland.
- Experience: Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, intervention strategies, and educational laws and regulations. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
