POSITION TITLE: Café Attendant

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

SUPERVISOR: Venue Manager

Position Overview: Under the direct supervision of the Venue Manager and Lead Barista, the Café Attendant is responsible for maintaining efficient and courteous food and beverage operations. This includes greeting patrons, anticipating their needs, and delivering knowledgeable service while ensuring a consistently positive guest experience. Adherence to established beverage recipes and operational standards is essential. The role requires effective teamwork and compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow established beverage recipes and standards.
  • Enhance knowledge of the menu offerings.
  • Provide prompt and efficient service at all times.
  • Notify the Venue Manager or Lead Barista of low stock or equipment issues.
  • Present menus, answer inquiries, and make recommendations to guests.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of food and beverage pairings.
  • Ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Assist with tray service as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding orders.
  • Attend to guest requests and ensure proper service protocols are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
  • Process orders and prepare beverages as required.
  • Serve beverages responsibly and ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of the work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including seating guests and maintaining a tidy dining area.
  • Prepare and stock necessary items for service.
  • Complete assigned side work as directed by management.
  • Foster a positive and professional atmosphere among team members and guests.
  • Adhere to attendance policies as per company guidelines.
  • Support the efficient operation of the venue in a cost-effective manner.
  • Assist in training new staff members.
  • Represent the company with courtesy and respect towards all individuals.
  • Contribute to team objectives and achieve related results.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide service in a caring and prompt manner.
  • Maintain high energy and a motivated demeanor.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system effectively.
  • Monitor guests to ensure responsible service is maintained.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing responsibilities as required.
