Building Automation Systems Specialist – Flex Force – Jacksonville, FL

As a Building Automation Systems Specialist, you'll play a critical role in the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment, ensuring consistency with the scope of work and sequence of operations.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Commissioning new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines.
  • Planning work with Lead Technician and Team Leader.
  • Assisting with data back-up from data servers and creating automated back-up procedures.
  • Supporting troubleshooting and resolution of inconsistencies in the functions or sequence of operations.
  • Assisting with the set-up and configuration of PC workstations and user interfaces.
  • Supporting the confirmation of proper network performance.
  • Running routine reports to review system operation.
  • Participating in final inspection and testing.
  • Supporting customer acceptance.
  • Assisting with customer training on system operations.
  • Completing and submitting routine written reports.
  • Providing plans and control system documents to engineering for as-built drawings.
  • Supporting project site communication and coordination.
  • Working overtime when needed.
  • Working rotational on-call and/or minimal overnight travel.
  • Adhering to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
