About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Epidemiology Research Assistant to join our team at Rush University Medical Center. As a key member of our research team, you will play a critical role in collecting and analyzing data to advance our understanding of epidemiological research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and schedule study participants, ensuring informed consent and adherence to research protocols.
  • Conduct interviews, surveys, and focus groups to collect data and assess participant eligibility.
  • Assist in writing reports, manuscripts, and presentations to disseminate study findings.
  • Participate in data analysis, cleaning, and guided analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain study records, edit for completeness, and ensure confidentiality of participant data.
  • Collaborate with researchers and team members to troubleshoot field issues and resolve unexpected events.
Requirements
  • Some college with prior data collection experience.
  • Entry-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and databases.
  • Detail-oriented with high attention to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport with diverse research participants and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to navigate sensitive topics and collaborate in multi-disciplinary team settings.
