Psychiatric Care Specialist

As a Psychiatric Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team to assess patient functional abilities, impairments, and needs. You will lead daily educational groups focused on essential skills patients need to manage their illness as well as their social environment.
You will document patient participation, progress, and changes in condition, contribute to individualized plans of treatment, and perform regular assessment of patient progress to ensure maximum therapeutic benefit.

We are seeking an individual with one year of experience working with psychiatric or emotionally disturbed patients in an acute healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will understand empathy, patience, and persistence with the patient population.
Knowledge of human behavior, symptoms of mental illness, and appropriate therapeutic interventions is required. BLS and CPI certification is mandatory (within 30 days of hire).
