We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our Float Pool team at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. As a PCA, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice, assisting patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collecting data, and ensuring a safe and organized environment.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living
- Collect data and ensure patient safety
- Support the unit with patient logistics, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties
- CNA certification preferred
- One year of recent experience working under the license of a licensed healthcare provider
- Current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school
- Current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals
- Ability to speak, read, and follow instruction in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider
