Treatment Center Assistant Coordinator

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

Join Turning Point Inc. as a Treatment Center Assistant Coordinator and play a critical role in supporting the overall operation of our treatment center.

As a key member of our team, you will assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of treatment programs and services, while also providing support and guidance to clients.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing support and guidance for program rules and routines as clients move through their treatment journey.
  • Ensuring that client schedules are adhered to and providing support to the Program Coordinator with the facilitation of appointments and services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, including shift notes and incident reports, while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in record-keeping and confidentiality.
  • Managing behavior emergencies using protective procedures and de-escalation techniques according to Turning Point policy.
  • Completing an incident report and including shift notes.
  • Performing administrative duties, such as answering phones, checking emails, maintaining supplies, assigning client chore lists, and additional duties assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in addiction counseling or related fields is a plus.
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities and mental health concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Compassion, empathy, and the ability to provide non-judgmental support to clients.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other software programs.
  • Knowledge of ethical and legal standards related to client confidentiality and record-keeping.
  • Crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

Preferred qualifications include a valid MN State driver's license, ability to walk up and down stairs, training on CPR and Narcan, and knowledge of culturally specific treatment services.
